Happy New Year from Monty’s Pollyticks

Have I found some of the Ginny Pig Man’s unpaid takses?

Krissmus has been a very quiet time of it here at Monty’s Pollyticks. Pollyitickal life here in the Yewkay seems to shut down for three weeks so there are no pollytickal programmes on the teevee and both my humans are very dull as they are stuck into the huge stash of pollytickal books they bought each other.

At least we have had some fun watching the pollyticks in the Yewnited States. The She Human has discovered an online magazeen called ‘The Hill’ which covers all the goings-on in the Yewnited States Congress. There have been plenty of goings-on at the moment as the Republycan Party seems to be tearing itself apart while the Demmycrats have added to the chaos by releasing Donald Trump the Ginny Pig Man’s taks returns for the past few years. Amazingly, the GP man who is known for having pots of human money, does not seem to have paid any takses. Both the She Human and the He Human are are bit miffed about that because they always pay their takses because they take care of things like educayshun and transports and the Nashunal Health Service human vets.

If only there were more like Rhondda Chris says the She Human

On the Yewkay side the only bit of excitement we have here is the Onners system. At the New Year the King (who has taken over from The Qwene) gives awards to people who have done good things in their careers and for other humans and even animals.. The She Human was particularly pleased to see that her favourite Labour Party backbencher, Chris Bryant has been given a nighthood. The She Human says that Chris Bryant show all the good things about Yewkay pollyticks and she wishes there were more like him.

It looks like it is going to be an interesting year ahead, both here in the Yewkay as normal hostilities resume after the return of Parliament, and abroad so there will be plenty for me to get my teeth into (other than my favourite tasty cat biscuits of course).

So it’s time to wish my readers a Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you all in 2023.

Monty
